My AI Friend ("we", "our", "the App") is operated by Ttech. This Privacy Policy explains how we collect, use, and protect your information.
1. Information We Collect
- Device Information: We generate a random device identifier to provide our services. We do not collect your name, email, phone number, or Apple ID unless you choose to provide it.
- Chat Messages: Messages you send are processed by our AI service to generate responses. Premium users' messages are encrypted (AES-256-GCM) and stored on our servers for cloud sync. Free users' messages are stored only on your device.
- Usage Data: We collect anonymous usage data including daily message counts, feature usage, and crash reports to improve our services.
- Purchase Information: If you subscribe to Premium, Apple processes your payment. We receive a transaction receipt to verify your subscription status but do not have access to your payment details.
2. How We Use Your Information
- To provide and improve our AI conversation service
- To manage your subscription and premium features
- To prevent abuse and ensure fair usage
- To provide cloud sync for premium users
- To display relevant advertisements to free users
3. Advertising & Ad Personalization
Free users may see advertisements provided by third-party ad networks (such as Google AdMob). These networks may collect and process:
- Device identifiers (IDFA/GAID) for ad personalization
- IP address and approximate location for geo-targeted ads
- Ad interaction data (impressions, clicks, views)
- Device information (model, OS version, screen size)
You can opt out of personalized advertising through your device settings (iOS: Settings > Privacy > Tracking). When you opt out, you will still see ads, but they will not be personalized. Premium subscribers see no advertisements.
4. Data Security
We use industry-standard security measures including:
- AES-256-GCM encryption for stored messages
- HTTPS for all data transmission
- Per-device encryption keys derived using HKDF
- Server-side rate limiting and abuse protection
5. Data Retention
Your data is retained as long as you use the App. You can delete all your data at any time from Settings > Delete Account. Upon deletion, all your messages, settings, and preferences are permanently removed from our servers.
6. Third-Party Services
We use the following third-party services:
- AI language processing services — conversation generation
- Google AdMob — Advertising (free users)
- Apple App Store — Subscription management
7. Children's Privacy
The App is not directed to children under 13. We do not knowingly collect information from children under 13.
8. Your Rights
You have the right to:
- Access your data
- Delete your data (Settings > Delete Account)
- Opt out of personalized advertising
- Contact us with privacy concerns
9. Changes to This Policy
We may update this policy from time to time. We will notify you of significant changes through the App.
